Lisette Marie Ross
Lisette Marie Ross was born on May 4,1973 in Norwalk, California to parents Jenny and Joe. She is one of 3, having 2 brothers, Jason and Dimitri Zarate.
Lisette, along with her two brothers, was raised in Southern Orange County. Even as a young girl, she had an ardent desire to serve Jehovah. After her parents divorced, she was known for frequently calling others in the congregation to make sure she could get a ride to Christian meetings. Lisette was a very diligent student of the Bible, constantly writing down points that she enjoyed in her personal copy so that she could remember them later.
As a young adult, Lisette was zealous to be used by Jehovah in whatever capacity she was able. As a result, she dedicated her life to Jehovah on October 17, 1987. She entered regular pioneer service in September of 1990, and quickly became known for touching people’s hearts by sharing her favorite scriptures with them.
In 1991 she met the love of her life, Dave Ross. Married on September 24, 1993, they enjoyed nearly 19 years together. The first few years of their married life were spent in volunteer service at Brooklyn Bethel, one of Lisette’s goals from a very young age. After Bethel service, they spent several years on the east coast before settling in the San Francisco Bay area in 1998, which they were both attracted to because of their love for outdoor activities. They also greatly enjoyed traveling together, particularly to some of their favorite spots in Italy.
Lisette was truly complete when she became a mother, and regularly referred to her two boys as her “gifts from Jehovah”. Caden was born on May 26, 2006, followed by Cole on April 17, 2009. Lisette absolutely cherished the time she spent raising her two boys and frequently expressed the joy they brought into her life.
Lisette will be remembered for her warm and giving spirit, her love of her family and friends, and her beautiful smile. She had an amazing ability to touch the lives of everyone who knew her. Lisette will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to experience her infectious personality.
She is survived by her husband Dave, her two sons, Caden and Cole, her mother Jenny, her father Joe, her two brothers Jason and Dimitri, and many extended family and friends.
Lisette’s faith in her creator was strong, and we know as she did, that she will be with us again in the near future. She cherished the Bible’s promise at Rev. 21:3, 4 of a resurrection into a beautiful new world. Until then, we know that Jehovah will keep Lisette safe in his memory.
